Happy New Year!!
Maybe you are nursing a killer hang over, maybe you have made a resolution to be healthier in 2015 or maybe you just want to drink something that tastes great. Regardless, this smoothie is a great way to kick start your new year.
I haven't made any particular resolutions myself, instead I think I will adopt the intention
"Wherever you are, be all there."

The apple and kiwi fruit in this smoothie makes it sweeter than one made entirely from green veggies and it is so full of good stuff you can feel very self-satisfied about how you have started the year!
Keep it simple and just throw it all in the blender. You don't need to peel the kiwi fruit or core the apple, it all gets blended up and just adds to the nutrient load.

Apple and Kiwi Fruit Green Smoothie
Total time: 5 minutes
Yield: 2 smoothies
- 2 kiwi fruits
- 1/2 apple
- 1 1/2 cups coconut water
- 2 large handfuls baby spinach
- 1 tbsp flax seeds
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1 small lebanese cucumber
- Roughly chop kiwi fruit, apple and cucumber and place in blender. Add coconut water, spinach, flax seeds, ice and protein powder.
- Blend until well combined and smooth.
